Prices and Payment
Product must be paid for in full prior to sending. The prices are subject to change from time to time. We will always honor the price you paid at the time of purchasing. The prices that are shown for our products do not include shipping. The shipping price will be calculated at checkout. All prices are shown in Australian dollars. The payment methods we accept are credit card, Paypal and bank deposit.
We offer standard and express shipping options. We offer $10 standard shipping and $15 express shipping. Free shipping is offered on orders over $80. These prices are subject to change and will be updated on our website if changed. We ship via Australia Post, Couriers Please and Aramex (previously Fastway). We reserve the right to choose the best carrier depending on your location. Orders are sent within 1 business day of ordering. We are located in Melbourne Victoria and send Australia wide. Delivery times are dependent on your location. For estimated delivery times to your location please contact us. Shipping notifications will be sent to the details provided by the purchaser. The hours of delivery provided by our delivery partners is between 8am-6pm. Please note that we are not able to provide exact days or times of delivery. We are also unable to request our delivery partners call customers prior to delivery. In circumstance where a product is not received, please contact us. We will open an enquiry with the delivery provider and keep you updated with all information provided. We aim to provide a resolution within 24 hours however please note that most Australia Post enquiries will take 48 hours.
Third party courier service
Our shipping partners are Australia Post, Couriers Please and Aramex (previously Fastway). Due to the reliance of third party couriers, we cannot be held responsible for delays during transit. While our carriers take every care to ensure your product arrives safely, we cannot guarantee against unforeseen circumstances such as damage in transit or product not arriving on time. If you have provided instructions for the parcel to be left unattended at the chosen delivery address, you are responsible for it once it delivered. If the parcel is delivered ‘ATL’ our couriers will take a photo of the parcel left at the location. If this takes place, we do not cover against theft. In the unfortunate event of a delivery issue Sweet Addiction Confectionery will work with the customer to resolve the issue.
An order is considered undeliverable for one of the following reasons:
- Incorrect or insufficient delivery address
- Recipient is not present at time of delivery, nowhere safe to leave the parcel and hasn’t responded to redelivery instructions
- Recipient refused delivery of parcel
All undeliverable parcel where the recipient is not present, the following applies:
- If sent via Australia Post, the parcel will be re-directed to the local Post Office for collection by recipient
- If sent via courier, a re-delivery card will be left at the recipient’s address. It is the responsibility of the recipient to call the carrier and arrange redelivery.
In the case of a parcel being returned to us at Sweet Addiction Confectionery, the customer will be liable for all fees and charge incurred in returning and storing the product. It will then be the customers responsibility to pay for any charges to have the product resent.
Incorrect and incomplete addresses
Please be very careful when filling in delivery details. We can not be held responsible for delay or extra postage charges incurred when provided with the incorrect information. If we are unable to deliver to an incorrect or incomplete address and the parcel is returned to use, the customer is responsible for any cost incurred to resend the product, including any cost incurred to replace damaged items.
No returns will be accepted without prior authorisation. Authorisation must be requested within 7 days of the invoice date. The cost of shipping the product back to us must be borne by the customer and it is highly recommended that customers use a trackable shipping method. Items must be returned in their original packaging and, unless they were damaged prior to receiving, must be unused and sealed. Sweet Addiction Confectionery can organise a courier, however all costs must be paid in full before pickup will be carried out.
Replacement product orders will not be shipped until the original product has been received and inspected. Once the item has been confirmed defective, the replacement will be shipped. If the defective item is being returned for credit, the credit will not be issued until the item has been inspected and confirmed defective.
Days of operation
We do not work on Victorian public holidays. Any orders placed on these days will be dispatched the following business day. We are operational Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
Warranties, refunds and cancellations
We are unable to offer cancellations or refunds on custom or personalised orders. Cancellations and refunds are accepted for change or mind only if your order has not yet been processed. We are unable to offer a refund if an incorrect delivery address has been provided and the order has been sent. It is the sender’s responsibility to provide us with the correct delivery information. Any cost incurred in re-directing or re-delivery a parcel with an incorrect address is to be covered by the sender. Cancellations can be made by emailing [email protected]. In some cases where the carrier has not been respectful with the parcel and it has arrived melted or damaged, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. We will work with the customer to resolve the issue, whether that be a refund or a resend of product.
Liability and general matters
We are not liable to you for any consequential, indirect, special, punitive, remote or incidental damages or for any loss of profit, loss of data, loss of goodwill, loss of business, loss of opportunity, increased financing costs, or any failure to realise anticipated savings or any type of commercial or economic loss. All goods supplied to you come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. You may also be entitled to remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law if any services supplied to you fail to meet a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this document excludes, restricts or modifies any condition, guarantee, warranty, right or liability protected by law to the extent that such exclusion, restriction or modification would render this document or any provision of this document void, illegal or unenforceable. Save for in relation to claims you make under the Australian Consumer Law, the maximum amount we will be liable to you in connection with any claim (or claims) you make in relation to your use of our sites and buying products from us is limited in aggregate to the amounts you have paid us for the provision of goods or services. Our liability to you for loss or damage of any kind arising out of this agreement or in connection with the relationship established by it is reduced to the extent (if any) that you cause or contribute to the loss or damage. This reduction applies whether our liability is in contract, tort (including negligence), under any statute or otherwise. You own the intellectual property rights in the data you provide us. We own (or have rights to use) all other intellectual property existing in and developed in connection with this site. You have no rights to use in any way any of our intellectual property including but not limited to using, copying, embedding (in another website) any design, text, marks and graphics appearing on our site. These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time and it is your responsibility to appraise yourself of the current version applying to your orders by checking this site for the latest version of this document. This site may contain links to external websites that are not operated by us and you agree that no representations or warranties are made by us in connection with those links and that we have any responsibility or liability for those websites and that the provision of the links do not indicate, expressly or impliedly, that we endorse the site or the products or services that are provided at those sites. If any provision of this document is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Headings are for reference purposes only and do not form part of this document. Any failure to act on a breach by you or others doesn’t waive the right to act on subsequent or similar breaches. All sections which by their nature are intended to survive termination of this document will be deemed to survive. This document is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place. Any rights or remedies to which you are entitled under the Australian Consumer Law arise independently of these terms and conditions and the jurisdictional selection provision above does not apply to any claim you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
